Furniture AR

Film a piece of furniture and get a 3D model that shoppers can place in their living room at its real size.

USDZ for iPhoneGLB for AndroidReal height

Enter one side in cm; the other follows the photo's shape. Empty means 60 cm on the long side.

How to do it

  1. Film a slow orbit around the furniture.
  2. Upload the video and enter the real height in cm.
  3. Wait for the queued reconstruction.
  4. Place the USDZ or GLB model in your room in AR.

From video to a model in the room

Walk slowly around the furniture while recording. The video is reconstructed into a textured 3D model scaled to the real height you enter. Customers can then see how the piece fits next to their sofa or in a corner.

Filming furniture well

  • Pick matte fabric or wood. Glossy leather and glass are tough.
  • Clear the area so no one moves in the background.
  • Light the piece evenly, avoiding strong window glare.
  • Do one low loop and one higher loop for the top surfaces.

For stores and makers

Use the USDZ for AR Quick Look and the GLB for Android and web embeds. Shops with many items can use the API: get a signed upload URL, upload the video, then poll the conversion. Each model costs $1.50 from your prepaid balance.
