Video to USDZ
Film an object, upload the clip, and receive a USDZ you can place in your room with AR Quick Look.
Enter one side in cm; the other follows the photo's shape. Empty means 60 cm on the long side.
Walk slowly in a full circle around a matte object in even light. Video jobs go into a queue; if a scan fails, your credit comes back automatically.
How to do it
- Record a slow walk-around video of the object.
- Upload it and enter the real height.
- Wait for the queued job to complete.
- Open the USDZ on iPhone or iPad.
A real 3D model, not a flat picture
Unlike photo mode, video mode reconstructs the object in 3D. You can walk around the resulting model in AR Quick Look and see its back and sides, with the texture taken from your footage.
Set the real size
You enter the real height of the object in centimeters. The reconstructed model is scaled to match, so a chair appears chair-sized on your floor.
Capture checklist
- Slow, steady movement in one full circle.
- Even lighting, no flicker.
- Matte surfaces and a still background.
- Object fills the frame without being cut off.
