USDZ Converter
Create USDZ files for AR Quick Look from images or from a video of a real object.
Enter one side in cm; the other follows the photo's shape. Empty means 60 cm on the long side.
Walk slowly in a full circle around a matte object in even light. Video jobs go into a queue; if a scan fails, your credit comes back automatically.
How to do it
- Pick photo or video mode.
- Upload your file and enter the real size.
- Wait for the conversion to finish.
- Download the USDZ and GLB or open the viewer link.
Two ways to make a USDZ
- Photo mode: a JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, AVIF, TIFF or GIF becomes a flat, real-size USDZ in seconds.
- Video mode: a slow walk-around video of an object becomes a textured 3D USDZ through photogrammetry.
What is USDZ
USDZ is Apple's packaging of Pixar's Universal Scene Description. It is the format AR Quick Look uses on iPhone and iPad, and it also works on Apple Vision Pro. Safari opens a USDZ link in AR directly.
What this converter does not do
It does not convert arbitrary 3D files such as OBJ or FBX. It creates USDZ and GLB files from images and videos. Each job also returns a GLB for Android and the web.
