JPG to glTF

You get glTF in its binary form, GLB: one file with the geometry and your JPG texture inside, at real size.

Enter one side in cm; the other follows the photo's shape. Empty means 60 cm on the long side.

How to do it

  1. Upload your JPG.
  2. Enter the real size in cm.
  3. Download the GLB, which is glTF in one file.
  4. Open it in your viewer or engine of choice.

glTF versus GLB

glTF is the open 3D transmission format. It comes in two common packages: a .gltf JSON file with separate texture and buffer files, and a .glb file that bundles everything into one binary. This converter outputs the .glb form, which is easier to upload, share and embed because there is only one file.

What is inside the file

  • A flat plane sized to your chosen width or height.
  • Your JPG as the surface texture.
  • The aspect ratio of the original picture.

Compatible tools

Any glTF 2.0 viewer opens GLB: Blender, three.js, Babylon.js, model-viewer, and Android Scene Viewer. The same job also returns a USDZ for Apple AR Quick Look.
